Drawing and painting have always been part of Rose’s life as parent, a teacher, school principal and life as a retiree. Presently she paints mainly nature scenes and scenic landscapes in oil and watercolour. She aspires to bring light into all her work, which varies in from realism to impressionism. She has taken art courses at St Lawrence College in Cornwall and Brockville as well as the Toronto Art College. She furthers her skills by painting with many talented artists and learns a great deal from Internet art courses.
She is one of the founders of the Focus Art Association and The Centre for the Arts Collective and is sitting on the Advisory Board for Arts and Culture in the city of Cornwall.
