I have loved making art as a young child and that love never stopped. Art, for me is a pleasure. My motto has always been, “If I can think it, I will try it!” I love to “try and figure out” or problems solve my way to a finished piece; to explore the materials losing myself in the process. I may not always succeed, but getting there is the joy.
Looking at several pieces side by side, I tend to capture a moment frozen in time; a bird on a beach or a turtle on a log or even a bison in a snowstorm. Each piece inevitably is a moment captured in time; simple, clean, uncomplicated. There does not need to be any hurried or bustling scene. Peace and tranquillity come through.
